Check your B12 and B6 levels, too low of B12 is as bad as too high of B6. Both sides can cause neuropathy. It's also why the ONLY B I add beyond my multi is B12.
If your levels are okay, consult a neurologist.

I first learned about both B6 and B12 right after I was diagnosed with Peripherial Neuropathy about 15 years ago. I was active in the Neuropathy Association http://www.neuropathy.org for years. We were always taking extra B12 but learned very quickly to not add any extra B6.
And while we do malabsorb vitamins, it's still prudent to not overdo that particular one. Nerve damage is too high a price to pay for adding too much of it. And since I take two multi's a day, that is enough B6. I do add extra B12 to prevent nerve damage as well.

I do have a good friend (non WLS) who is having neuropathy issues. Do you have any ideas of things that might help?
thanks, deb366
What I have learned about PN could fill a book (and it has, several) but not by me, :) There are several good books on the issue as well as the Neuropathy.org web site. There is a bookstore on that site and amoung them is a couple of books listed by John Senneff called "Numb Toes and Aching Soles: Coping with Peripheral Neuropathy" The store is listed under Resources.
