I've tried the ready to drink Oh, Yeah shake and it was good. I didn't like the wafers but some folks love them.

Syntrax Nectar powder for chocolate and strawberry are yummy to me.

The only RTD I can take is Muscle Milk Lite. Just not my cup of tea, I guess. I like my shakes to be like shakes so I make them in the blender with ice.

Seems to me there was something in the ingredients or Nutrition Facts that bugged me. Let me get one... and hopefully somebody can tell us if this is good/bad or 'can do better'.

Okay... I'm back. (did you miss me?) LOL

There you have it. Several things bugged me so I am using them up on an occasional basis while I figure out how to make my own. There's some recipes out there that are better... for me anyway. They do tend to make me queasy.

I did see blend. I saw someone mention blend the other day and I want other than blend. I think thats rigjt. This can be a tad bit confusing at times.

People will declare you don't want a blend but they never say why. Or they say only whey protein isolate is okay and that isn't true.

This particular product gets it's protein from milk (whey and caseinate), eggs and soy. Milk and eggs have the highest value on the PDCAAS scale of rating proteins. Soy is a bit lower -- just below meat -- but it's still a reasonable protein source.

My personal opinion is that the drinks and powders that use a blend taste better than the 100% whey protein ones and it's better to buy a protein you will actually drink than one that meets some mythical standards of perfection yet tastes like ass so you won't drink it.

I haven't tried the RTD since surgery because they are so much more $$$ than powder ends up being.  I do love the bars, 1/2 small was a meal, and they were on our approved list, but we couldn't do bars for 3-4 months.
