One Year Today Surgiversary and Lab Results
I haven't gotten many in but I got the Ferritin and I am concerned about how much it is dropping. I had an iron infusion in Jan. 2011.
Here is my iron.
On a funny note, I have had problems with my D for a while. At one point it was barely detectable. On my last check up it was 74 and the NP was freaking out. She said she never saw a bariatric patient with a D level so high and she wanted me to back off a bit. Of course I told her I would but I kept taking it the same and now it is 87. She told me to stop taking it for 3 months and recheck. I am aiming for 100 so I guess that is a problem for her.
My PTH has also gone down, from 34 in February to 26.

Keep doing what you're doing on your D3. Toxic is a hell of a lot higher than top of the range. Plus you're not taking oil based D2, so no worries. {sigh...medicals}
For ferritin many of Vitalady grads say to take her Tender iron but the combo of her Tender iron and a Proferrin worked wonders on my iron markers. Maybe you could get Proferrin through prescription. You can take Proferrin and be on an infusion schedule at the same time.

I already take Tender Iron. Maybe I need to up it. I doubt my doctor will give me a prescription for Proferrin. They told me my labs were "perfect". Same thing they said for 8 years while they were tanking. I have an appointment with my new (and former) PCP in Oct. She is a lot more helpful in those things.
