OMG~Kids department

After I went to check on my grandma, my daughter and I went shopping yesterday afternoon. I had the hardest time finding stuff to fit. I think out of pure frustration she told me I needed to check out the children's department. I found the cutest dress at Catos. I tried the biggest one on it swallowed me. Then I tried on a kids 10/12 and it fit. I thought I would die. Then she said Mama let's go to Justice. I found their shorts are not hippy enough for me. They fit but weren't very flattering. Today we are off to the beach. Some much needed fun in the sun. My mom has Granny duty today. I am taking myself out of the equation for today. I have to capture some ME TIME! Wishing everyone a wonderful day!~

It won't be long before I'm facing similar problems.  It's crazy to think that I'll have the problem of finding things to fit because I'm too small instead of too big.

I know it is insane but equally frustrating. There are not many places that carry 4's. I hate ordering online if I haven' t tried things on because I am not sure if they will fit. Right now we are planning a trip to Florida. I can not wear capris in August in FLORIDA! Now everyone is sold out of shorts. Not sure what to do guess I will have to keep looking!~

I'm glad to hear you are getting out and getting some relaxing time (although shopping isn't always relaxing for me).

I love the Justice store!   I buy a lot of my sparkley shirts there that I wear to cheerleading. I like Kohl's junior and kid department too....who ever would have thought....LOL

I was wearing 2's and they are next to impossible to find so although they are a little loose I started buying petite 4's and I have had pretty good luck finding them.  Dress Barn, Macy's, Boscov's, and Kohl's have quite a few 4's if you have any of those stores available. I also have a good seamstress who hems or takes up the shoulders for me.

Enjoy your day with your DD!!!!

Been there...doin' that...

Congratulations!  You are now a member of what I affectionately call the Skinny ***** Club.  You acheive that status the first time you complain (although we really love it) that you can't find anything small enough on the rack and every woman around you gives you The Look.

Try to find 00 pants!   The first thing I ask when I walk into a store is what is their smallest size because otherwise you wander around and find cute stuff that doesn't fit.

Hang in there...you'll find some brands that you can count on to fit and then you just stick with it :)

Enjoy your day!!!

I was at Walmart the other day and I noticed how cute some of the clothes are for girls compared to what is available for women.  Even though I am only 111 lbs (at 5'3") I still wear a size 4.  When I was 120 after my first WLS I could wear children's clothes.  It's like I am losing pounds but not inches.  Strange.

I have this awesome sweater from Justice. But their pants aren't really cut right for me.

If you are also short, check out Petite Sophisticate and 5-7-9. Both those places carry sizes down to 00 and hardly anything above a 6. It's pay back!

I find you have to go to where the rich people live to get size 2 and lower. For example, the Macy's at my local mall does carry sizes below 4 but they are very hard to find. I go over the foothills to the Macy's at a mall there and they carry a lot more 2s and such. (Over the foothills, the houses cost more.)

Another place to find small clothes that aren't Junior sizes is H&M. They cater to the Junior crowd who are shaped like women. So lots of young, hip stuff and the sizes run small and the clothing is inexpensive.

I also find a lot at Old Navy.
