Good Morning. Harry's last installment?

I read all the books when my son wanted us to read them to him. Later he got old enough to read them himself and Mini-Mac started reading them as her first "real" books. We've seen all the movies too but right now I just feel *done* with the whole process and am kind of 'meh' about seeing the final movie. I'll probably do it but I didn't go to a midnight show like Mini-Mac did with her friends.

Now that is just cheating! The books invoke an imagination in people that is unmesaured. They let you connect and relate with characters. The magical side makes it a childhood dream come true... Im sorry, I love reading these books over and over. I cried when Dobby died, I cried during the last book and I know I will cry tonight at the movie theater. It is an end of an era of imagination, something we seldome see in books and even movies anymore.

I hope you were successful this morning! My husband, daughter (15) and her friend went to the 12:01 showing.  Tired campers today!  We started reading the books to my daughter when she was in first grade. If my husband read to her for a night, I would have to catch up the next day.
I am so thankful that this generation had JKRowling to provide such amazing stories and spark a love of reading for so many. I found her writing to be not only imaginitive but also multi-level. The books were like some Disney movies -- surface story for young readers and deeper concepts for older readers.
