Sounds good to me!  When I left the hospital, I asked the nurse for a bunch of those little pill cups, for the first few days I drank out of those at home.  Made it easier to go down.

I took my computer but only used it ONE time, could have left it at home. My iPhone was all I really needed and MUCH easier to handle so if your cell phone or iPod has internet capabilities, leave the computer at home is my thought.

I am addicted to the internet as well but those days it really didn't seem that important...not as important as my sleeping, LOL.

Looks good but personally I would wear the sundress in so you dont have added clothes to worry about. Wont be getting dirty believe me. And I agree with Liz on the computer thing. I personally did not look at the computer AT ALL while I was in...

I wore in my clothes I was going to wear home as well. The main thing to keep in mind is that you will have incisions that are probably going to get rubbed by your bra. You will be pumped up on IV fluids as well. So no underwires and everything should fit loosely.

Also, I brought stuff to entertain me but I wasn't there that long and I was out of it for much of the time I was there. So I'd be careful about bringing stuff like the computer. It could get stolen and you probably don't want to post while high on pain killers. LOL

you definitely dont want anything binding U  around Ur waist when U leave .   I wore a  big  baggy 2x ruffled  sundress  in  with an elastic   top that could double  as a bra ...  they  blow U up with gas  and it  takes  weeksto deflate so expect  to feel  ... well ,ROUND lol..

Also  ,  think about  having whoever picks U up from the hospital bring a pillow . it really helps to squeeze it to UR tummy  when U go over bumps on the way home ...

personally I would  have DIED if I hadnt had at least three  books anda variety of mindless magazines to amuse me and my roomies ..

Good list.....the small 2 oz cups they sent me home with were great....ask for them...very helpful if on liquid medications plus just drinking tiny amounts at first.

I never unpacked and only used my glasses, toothbrush, and my lip balm (which I had to FIGHT to use the first day).   I couldnt really read bu****ched a good amount of tv, especially at night as I was uncomfortable.  I wore the same clothes out that i wore in.  I was surprised that i could take a tylenol pill within a week (i had also bought the liquid).....you may want to have crystal light at home or powerade zero ( i drank that a good amount initially) as well as a shaker cup.  I kept a log of all fluids and protein as well in a daily calendar and used that for the first 3 months (easy to take with me).

It will be fine, you will do FINE, and we are here if you need anything!!

p.s. you make want to take stool softeners after.....they told me nothing about this and I got seriously messed up 2 weeks post surgery.....WORST experience EVER!!!!

I'd leave the electronics at home as well - you will be out of it and unable to keep track of your things. it's not a secure environment at all.

I would add in "earplugs" - the neighboring lady to me had a lot of friends and they visited LOUDLY. I slept much of the time I was in there, so didn't need much more than the t.v.

Ditto on the stool softener - I didn't need it but for one time, but it was nice to have on hand at home.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
