Good Morning. Swinging lizards and other LW goodies
When I when I was your age, Newbie, we didn't have swinging lizards. We had a little LW board with maybe 2 vets and 5 or 6 newbies. {you know, the Bizhub commercial, lol}
"Swinging lizards" came to us via the DS board and a newbie LW named SuziWong. The DS board will have knock down drag out wars from time to time. One such war ended with a negotiated settlement to "swing chickens" instead of saying evangelical Christian oriented prayers for people even if they asked for none to be said. So, when DSrs say they'll swing chickens, it means they're saying prayers, sending you healing thoughts, keeping you close to their hearts, etc. The desired outcome is not to offend anyone.
I brought the practice of swinging chickens over to the LW board and SuzieWong thought it was hilarious but was totally out of fresh chickens to swing, so she said she would swing lizards instead. Well, it stuck and LWs have been swinging lizards and various other critters ever since. The DSrs even swing critters now rather than just chickens.
What other LW board goodies do you remember or want to start?

I love NSV, fashion posts (though I haven't seen any in a while) and the just for fun posts. These make me feel so connected to everyone.
And of course, I love your daily morning posts! Keep it up and have a great day.

He's had a tough few days ... reluctantly locked inside . His favorite purr-friend grllfriend the Sweet-faced cat escaped her house and came to roll around in his catnip and he's been desperate to get out and socialize with her ... but unfortunately I know she's the naughty sort who will promptly lead him right through all the yard's fence holes into the street .. and unlike her ... he's in GRAVE danger of getting picked up and shut away forever by some lonely person simply because he's so beautiful ... so he can't go ....
He's VERY GRUMPY .
he barfed up his breakfast onto my best rug

The last time the Sweet faced cat visited he ended up coming down the street plume tail waving in front of all the cars ... I almost had a heart attack ... first off because I was so glad to see him after about 6 hours of fruitless calling and searching the neighborhood ..and second that he wouldn't get Flattened before he jumped in my arms ...
