Morning Protein... Sleevie doesn't like it!
Hi Lee,
How did you make it? my pouch loves a protein hot choc in the am. I do one of the following: I packet diet Swiss miss, i scoop choc or sometime vanilla protein mix to a paste plus 4 oz water and 4 oz silk van light milk warmed. add to coffee mug, top with a tablespoon of cool whip and drink. if it sits too long it starts to get lumpy.
An alternative: 1 scoop unsweetened hot coco, 1 scoop protein powdered 1 packet of splenda mix to a paste plus 4 oz water and 4 oz silk van light milk warmed. add to coffee mug, top with a tablespoon of cool whip and drink.
Also, Designer Whey makes a new RTD choc that is delicious. I only found it at GNC is 100 calories and 18g. maybe start off with something lighter in the am? I loves these grab and go options and sometimes drink 2 if I am short on time.
My plan too frowns on protein drinks but I have to have them at least 2 a day sometimes 3. The Nectar cappuccino flavor is also light and I mix that with some instant decaf and Sugar free creamer over ice.
Hope you find something that works. I like others feel these are the key to my success.

Hi Sheri, we're one day apart on our surgery dates. :) Have you been doing 2 or 3 shakes a day ever since surgery? I've always wondered if it would have made a difference in how I shed the pounds if I had been doing that.
My hot protein is never lumpy. I use the shaker ball and thermometer method and it works perfectly. I think I just have to get used to it. I make mine with water or unsweeted almond breeze or unsweetened soymilk. Sometimes a combo but today I went with straigh****er to save the calories.

I have less experience in this lifestyle than many of the previous responders, but I am also a VSG, and have never been a morning eater (except for doughnuts of course!). However, in an effort to change my previous evil ways, I started drinking an EAS Carb Advantage shake each morning. It's only 17 grams of protein, so maybe it is a bit easier to tolerate than some of the higher protein ones. It works for me. And, as others have said, I've become so accustomed to this that I have one even on the weekends. I like the Rich Dark Chocolate flavor.
Good luck with the last pounds!..

Thanks Sheila. I have various protein powders with less grams of protein per scoop. Maybe I'll try a lighter one tomorrow. I've heard the EAS are good but I haven't been buying the RTD because I have some that I haven't used and they're sitting on the shelf. Maybe I'll drink one tomorrow!

A great introduction to chai tea is in the ready made boxed kind . I used to EXIST on these ..now I brew my own but only because the boxed ones ( even the lite ones ) have too much sweetness for my reworked tastebuds.
But they ARE Delicious and superfast ( i actually keep a box in the fridge at hubby's house for when he cant make me espresso at five in the morning ... ) try that Lee U'll almost certainly LIKE
Just go for the LITE variety is my advice because the regular is sweet enough to gag a maggot off a gutwagon...
