Morning Protein... Sleevie doesn't like it!
Thanks, Lee. These last few pounds are tough, only three off in June. I really want lower than 140, but that is my highest normal BMI.
Thanks for all your support. I ordered the packets of Beneprotein from a different source, so will have some for you in August. I think we are all looking forward to the plastic surgery presentation!
I'm up 1.5 this morning, but I don't change the ticker. When I see a lowest weight I darn well claim it! Then I seem to bounce around 1-1.5 for another week or so. Oh well, it's still headed down.

Hi Lee! Boy there's a lot of great ideas so far.
Question. Is the protein you are using a straight whey isolate? That is tolerated best of all according to the stats.
Rather than starting by mixing with a coffee or tea... how about a lightweight ricemilk or almond milk?
Possibly a RTD protein shake would taste even better to you... like muscle milk?
My 2nd protein drink of the day is made with a citrus flavor from Syntrax. One scoop with 20 ounces of water, rather than 8 ounces of water which is way too strong and gaggy.
Keep us posted on what your experiments do for ya!

Hi Ruthie,
My cocoa this morning was straigh****er and a scoop of Hydro Whey Isolate powder. 30 grams of protein. There was nothing else in there. In the past I've made it with organic unsweetened soymilk or unsweetened almond breeze. They all work great but I've never tried one so early in the morning before. I've just read about everyone starting out the day so wanted to try it.
BTW - love your new avatar!

Aww... thanks Lee. I'm having fun getting out in the heat nowadays. I don't throw up or pass out anymore. ROFL!
OK, I'm just going to have to tell you what I tell all the *NEW* people!!! LOL
You gotta keep trying different brands and flavors of proteins until you find one you like that works. Get samples to try. If you need URL's for ordering samples, start a new topic and I betcha there'll be numerous posts for you in a heartbeat.
I add Click Expresso powder & Syntrax Cappuchino powder to my 1/2 milk and 1/2 coffee shaker bottle. If that doesn't wake me up and make me feel full for a while, nothing will!
Good luck on your mission, Lee. I don't know how you've been doing it without liquid protein!

Hi Ruthie,
All my life, I thought I knew everything about losing weight. Well I did, but I didn't know anything about losing a LOT of weight, or keeping it off. I've been trying since 1975 to get back to a "healthy" weight. When I had my surgery, I decided to pretend that my surgeon was smarter about this process than me. In keeping with that, I have been trying hard to stick to plan as much as possible. I haven't been even close to 100% compliant, because I do eat protein bars which I'm not supposed to, but I've tried not to drink my calories. I'm just trying something different for 2 weeks to see if it helps me get to my personal goal. Then it's hopefully downward from there as I will still be 3 pounds above my "healthy" BMI range.
I have so many samples of protein and many canisters in the cabinet. I just have to get them out and start using them again.
Thanks for all the tips! :)

Oh yeah, not only canisters, but a drawer filled with various sample size packets of protein powder. I'm going to give them all a try this month and clean out the drawer.
I made a protein shake yesterday morning. 30 grams of protein in one scoop of Hydro Whey, 8 oz water, 1/2 frozen banana. I was in heaven! I used to be a raw vegan and drank a lot of fruit shakes but hadn't had one with fruit in 17 months. My tastebuds were screaming YEAH YEAH YEAH. Felt ok on my tummy as well.
