Thanks!  Actually my Sleevie was quite happy today, after the protein cocoa that is.  Maybe it's just in the early morning that it's more finicky.  I think I'll wait a little while after waking up to try it again. Maybe I'll have my tea first to wake it up!  :)

Most mornings, penny the pouch, will be ok with my protein coffees, but there are the few days where she is like "NO WAY" and I end up having plain coffee. It may be sleevie just needs to get used to it, could also try varying the temperatures. Mine HAS to be hot in the morning then I can work on cooler beverages throughout the rest of the day. Good Luck Lee

Thanks Stacey.  Isn't it amazing how different we all are.  No two Sleeves or Pouches are alike and each likes different things.  I like warm things until around lunchtime, then I can switch to cold.

I've started the day with a protein drink almost from the beginning.  I either have a hot decaf and make the protein into a creamer.  I mix a scoop of vanilla protein powder into half a cup of milk and some sugar free syrup and shake it in my blender bottle and use it like creamer.  I have even made vanilla decaf chai tea and used it and it was delicious.  In the warmer weather I make a protein decaf frappe.  It holds me over until lunch.

I sure wish I liked sweet things in my decaf because I'd have it more often.  I like creamer in my decaf but nothing sweet at all.  I tried several times to make protein coffee but always had to dump it.  Maybe I'll try vanilla decaf chai tea!  :)

Lee,

What happened to your protein pudding? Didn't it have about 29 grams of protein?

I mix a little protein in with my 6 ounces of Greek yogurt and a small amount of berries for breakfast. I get about 21 grams of protein, which tends to hold me more than a protein drink. But, I also have a skinny latte, which gives me some additional protein and some additional carbs, which you may not want.

I still have a difficult time with protein drinks. I think, it is the artificial sweetners that I don't like.

Good luck!!!

Gail

Hiya Gail,  I've been off the protein pudding for the month of June because I traveled for three weeks.  I made some this morning to take for breakfast at the office but stayed full from my cocoa and just had a fruit snack mid-morning.

Are you still using the Beneprotein that you and Wendy talked about?

Yes, the packets have 6 grams of protein, so an extra 6 grams of protein with the 15-18 grams of protein in the yogurt, and I get at least 21 grams of protein. I add 1/4-1/2 cup of berries to it, so it isn't quite a slider. Lately, I'vebeen adding a little Smart Bran for extra fiber, but it does bump the carbs up, so you may not want to do that. I don't usually eat all of it at once, but break it up into two "feedings." I think my morning latte fills me up for an hour or two, then I'll start on the yogurt and bit of fruit.

I have also mixed the Beneprotein in with Chili, cottage cheese, and milk. It dissolves quickly and isn't sweet. It is pure whey isolate and Kaiser uses it in the hospital for people that need some extra protein. That is where I was introduced to it. You can buy in the cans, so that it is less expensive, but the packets work for me, because I don't use a lot of protein powder. I get most of my protein from dairy products, eggs, fish (salmon, scallops, etc,), chicken, and some beef. Sometimes, I'll eat tofu.

You can order it on Amazon.com, but I can give you some samples, if you would like.
