Good Morning. Splurging a little
I fixed pancakes last weekend for the DGD's. One liked them and the other one didn't. I had some and liked them too much. I ended up throwing the rest of them away so I would not eat on them during the day.
I splurge on Saturdays usually - that is probably why my weight is always at the highest on Sunday morning when I weigh in. During the week, it goes back down.
I got some really good cherries at the store and have been having them as a snack. Pretty expensive but they are so good. I fixed fresh yellow squash/onions and butternut squash today so I'll have plenty of veggies for next week.

I'm going to a funeral today. Not a lot of fun but my dear friend Pete passed away and this is time to say good bye. Afterwards there will be a potluck. I am probably going to bring chicken. Don't know that I would call it splurging but at potlucks and buffets I just take a sample of most of the protein and maybe a bit or two of any salads that don't have pasta in them, maybe some fruit of some veggies off of a vegetable plate, with some dressing. I try to eat consistently.
I guess I am gluten free. I am wheat free and I don't have a lot of whole grains. I pretty much eat the same at home and when I go out I try different things. I just am not big at cooking so I make it pretty easy at home.

I'm in all out workout mode for my Ironman and I'm having trouble keeping fat on my body so I've been eating ice cream. I can only eat about 4 oz of without getting gassy (or worse) so it's not a lot of calories, but it's not something I do very often other times of the year as then it's a higher % of my calories.
