Cost of protein 2
Tony, I will second Vitalady esp if you don't know what you want. She offers single serving proteins so you can try one without spending a bunch of money or having to get in your car to return something.

I agree with you, esp if you have long drive, and sometimes just paying for a sample pack is worth it cause you get to taste all of them without buying a 5 or 10 pound container.
I have looked over her site and there is lots of info and good advice there just like there is here.
Bancher,
Yes optinum nutrition, GNC own brand are both good choices. They both mix easy with the shaker, no lumps grit or anything. The really expensive ones like Muscle Tech loaded with creatine and a list longer than your arm are the ones you don't need. Those are for the bodybuilders and some of them will make you sweat like crazy.
So just a good highly digestable whey protein isolate. Shop around for best price! I can't say that enough, if you can save 20 bucks plus shipping thats a couple hundred a yr.
I don't have a favorite store so to speak, but if its the same prices online as it is at GNC then I will keep my money in town so that store doesn't close up, But like I mentioned before GNC has a 30 return if you don't like it policy and you get 100 percent refund or try something different till you like it.
We all use to have jugs of powders around we hated, but we paid so much we didn't want to throw them away LOL Until you had no more space left, but now since you can take it back it works great.
Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey only had 1 gram of sugar, 3 carbs when mixed with water and the calories from fat is only 10 with 110 calories per serving .
Theres some people who love muscle milk, Please take a look at that lable as some of them or most of them you will see that the fat calories is very high Even their light formula has 50 fat calories www.bodybuilding.com/store/cs/light.html
So its whey protein isolates, calories from fat (keep low), servings per container, taste and cost.
Hope that helps
