I guess if it had really worked, we wouldn't have had surgery.
Optifast is medically supervised. You lose 2-3 lbs a week. Not particularly magic or fast but that was my pre-op diet. Wasn't bad, just boring. We had 5 shakes a day plus 1 small food meal.

I had to do the Optifast diet pre-WLS. I followed the plan for 2 weeks and lost 11 lbs. I bought my Optifast food at my surgeon's office. It was very expensive and was awful to eat.
I had severe low blood sugar issues with the shakes; so I primarily ate the bars and soup. My stomach is churning just thinking about eating it again.

Are you having weight loss surgery or just interested in losing a few pounds for pictures? I can't think of any of us who lost weight super fast before WLS. I suppose if you went on a liquid diet like we do before we have surgery you might lose a few pounds but you won't keep it off once you start back to eating food. Weight loss surgery is not a quick fix it is a lot of hard work and dedication.
