Freezing!

Good morning LW's,

I still find it so amusing how cold I am. Its 74 degrees in the house and I am like an iceberg!!! I have jeans and a tshirt on with a hoodie and my hands are still like ice. Holding a cup of hot decaf tea just trying to warm up.

Preop, I was always hot and sweaty. I used to joke around that when menpause hit, my hubby was just going to find a pile of ash where a hot flash hit!

Anyone else this cold too?
 
At work, my patient's even comment on how cold my hands are. I try rubbing them together and running them under ho****er, but I feel like the ice queen.

I know my low iron probably isnt helping. Need to get labs done next week. Or maybe my thryroid is off too. Will find out.

When I was iron deficient, I was always cold. I wouldn't be surprised, if your coldness is related to the low iron and/or thyroid. That type of coldness is more severe than the coldness associated with less fat insulation.

Since my iron and thyroid are regulated, I don't get as cold as I used to, and I am more tolerant to the heat.

I am always freezing

I keep the house on 74 during the day, still 68 at night but I love a cold house when I sleep.  I am certainly colder than ever before.  And I haven't been dying when it is really hot as before.  Seems like a benefit now, we will see what winter brings.

All of my levels are good but I always keep a sweater in my cars and at home it isn't odd to see me sitting under a blanket even on these hot days.  My DH makes comments all of the time about me always being cold.

I just had surgery this past week and have been very cold. So is that something that will probably last?
