X-post: Manitou Incline-DONE
Howdy,
I am so excited. I climbed the Manitou Incline in Colorado and made it all the way to the top. For those of you that do not know about this places here is a link with information http://www.colorado-springs-vacation.com/colorado-springs-hi king-trails-difficult.html
I did over 2000 steps and climbed one mile at a sometimes 61% grade with an approximate 2011 feet elevation change from bottom to top. I walked back down Barr trail ( about 2.5 miles). Although I did get sore, it was not that bad. I could still move around the next day.
During the hike a woman stated that she wished that she was in as good a shape as me. WTH. Me the one that could not breathe going up a single flight of stairs in a building a little less than a year ago.
This shows I am not just thinner I am healthier. Okay okay I will stop bragging now. I am just so friggen proud of myself. And the bonus... As of today I have lost 100 lbs since my surgery last September while improving (not losing) my muscle tone.
I think I earned an APPLE?
