 Welcome!

You will do well whatever surgery you choose, if you follow the surgeon's plan. I had type two diabetes and high cholesterol as my co-morbidities to qualify. Both have resolved with the vertical sleeve gastrectomy.

You will find great support for the DS here. Some of our most successful posters had that surgery. Your type A personality will help. Follow the rules and you can't ague with success. Good luck!

Welcome to the lightweights.  You will find lots of support here for whatever surgery you chose.  You are really lucky to have choices, so many of us didn't because of location or insurance.

I have loved my RNY, although it wasn't my first choice.  You will do fine if you set your mind to it and realize it is a life long change and requires work.  Good luck on your journey.

Welcome to the lightweights board!  Very supportive place and will welcome you with whatever decision you choose.  I know I read a lot and tried to use this time to prepare, etc.  All the computer reading will come in handy.

Good luck!!

The VSG has been one of the greatest gifts I have ever given myself. I am very grateful to have had it done and go as smoothly as it did. Do a lot of research on procedures and doctors and find the one that works best for you and your future. Best of luck to you!
