Menus and Miles Wed. July 6th
Sue you are so right. This journey is definitely worth it. And even with the self sabotage I have lost much more weight than I ever have before-and that includes doing Optifast. Sometimes I think we get used to all the good changes too fast and forget how far we have come. I looked at a picture of myself with four other friends the other day. We have all had weight problems, one has decided against surgery but after a medical scare and a diagnosis of diabetes has lost 37 pounds on her own. One successfully lost over a hundred pounds with lapband, then had to have it taken out, but has kept off the weight, one still has her lapband but is having significant problems after losing all her weight, one never lost any weight with lapband and one goes up and down 30 pounds on diet after diet. I of course still need to lose at least 50 more pounds.
But the wierd thing is....I actually saw myself for the first time, and I actually had to admit I looked the best. It's so strange to see positive things in myself, it almost doesn't feel right!!
So we will keep fighting the fight, and if we self sabotage we will try again the next day. You and I are winners at this game, don't you forget it.

So, my daughter in law was here this past weekend and I took her to buy a swimsuit for her birthday. She wears a size 2. But, here's the funny part, my legs are thinner than hers. That made me feel better about myself. It took me forever to look in the mirror and actually see the changes.
Thank you so much for the encouragement.

Roz, I went swimming last night. This morning I stepped on the scale and it was down 2 pounds. I was so used to not seeing any weight loss for so long I just shook my head and thought, "Gee, follow the plan and it works, go figure.". Anyway, I brought sf popsicles to work so I have something to eat that's not fattening.
Sue
Nap...what's that? The only one who gets to nap at our house is DD while I take care of our DGS (but I'm really not complaining).
Good Menu!
