Recovering from shoulder surgery and seem to be battling depression. I have a rash on my neck from the scrub they gave me before the pain blocker. Itchy no fun at all. To top off my week my dog was killed today. This is my third night in the recliner nothing else is comfortable. I have had to keep eating a little all along to keep from being nausiated. Feel like I am puffing up like a blow fish. YUCK! It has to get better soon!~
Nothing tastes as good as this feels!

I'm sorry you're having such a hard time and to lose your dog too. Just not right.

Keep pushing the fluids and take something for constipation. They told me that the anesthesia can cause constipation and to take OTC stuff for it. Maybe they can switch your pain meds to something else that doesn't make you itch unless it's left over from morphine or something. I hate that you're having a rough time.

((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))), I am so sorry you are miserable and to lose your dog just wasn't right. Any of those events would make me feel depressed....adding them all together just isn't right.

Try to keep pushing fluids if nothing else, don't want you dehydrated as well. The recliner isn't a terrible place to sleep, btdt.

Oh Danielle - so sorry to hear about your dog - they are such precious parts of our lives.

Keep hanging in there with your shoulder - it takes time unfortunately.  I know when Tom had his last Dec he couldn't get comfortable either... it gets better - hang in there.
