1) Nothing specifically for the 4th yet but Saturday I'm meeting Vitalady and a bunch of locals for lunch. The 5th I'm going to be taking her to our support group for show and tell. lol Not really. She's going to talk and answer questions.
2) My favorite item since WLS...maybe my red bikini. lol
3) Victories and challenges...ran out of some of my vitamins and my vanilla-cinnamon protein powder. I'm still pouting over that one.

1. Any plans for the 4th of July? Ok, don't laugh. I have been riveted by the Casey Anthony trial. I have been following this case since the beginning and I have been waiting for this for 3 years and I can't take my eyes off of this. The defense closed and they will probably be working through the weekend given how the defense is stalling and I will probably be planted in front of my computer to watch. I may get together with my kids if I can pull myself away.
2. Favorite item to have aquired since surgery? Probably the water bottle I got in the hospital. I take it every where. When I had my hernia surgery in April I got another so I have a back up. I also love my Hamilton Beach portable blender. I use that every day and I am on my second one.
3. Challenges/ Victories? A dear, dear friend passed away yesterday. I am just so sad. I am going to miss him very much. I am sure his funeral and memorial will be hard. I just lost my mother and now Pete. June was a terrible month.
Victories? I am at my lowest weight since in 30 years. I don't even know if it's a victory since I know I am too thin but I feel good and my body fat is still 25% so I'm not wasting away. Ironically I wear a bigger size now then I did in the past when I weighed more. I am planning on getting that membership to the community center soon and start working out. I have been trying to eat more but I realize that I do have more restriction then I thought I would at nearly a year out and I'm afraid of stretching things. I may have to add another meal or at least another snack if I keep losing.

1) Plans for this weekend are, taking my DD & Mums out to a farm to pick our own cherries, then have a picnic at the park. Sunday going to my friends house on the beach for a cookout/ sleep over, with fireworks all down the beach....and beach Monday (that's why we are staying!).
2) My favorite item since surgery I would have to say for my deflated girls is the VS Miraculous bra! Makes me feel like I have shape. Never thought I would ever need a padded bra! LOL
3) Challenges/Victories... Still trying to find ways to satisfy my sweet tooth w/o making bad choices. Found how to make protein ice cream this week, and loved it. So, that is the victory and hopefully trying some more recipes this week!
Have a wonderful long weekend everybody!!!!!!!!!!!

1. Any plans for the 4th of July? Going to do the Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta - 6.2 miles. I'll be walking it and hope to do it in under 2 hours. My goal was 15 minute miles, but I have made it more realistic. DGD#1 is spending the night tonight and DGD#2 is spending the night tomorrow night. Sunday we will leave for my nieces house for the race Monday morning.
2. Favorite item to have aquired since surgery? My Lemon Tea Protein Drink - I love it and can't imagine going a day without it!!
3. Challenges/ Victories? My challenge is always the same - night snacking. I can do so good all day and really mess up at night. Victory was that I walked 6.2 miles Tuesday morning in 1 hour and 45 minutes so now I know I can finish the race(hopefully)....
Hope everyone has a great holiday.

Hi Stacey and all!
1. Any plans for the 4th of July? The weekend: Saturday - not much, but there are a lot of festivities going on in town this weekend with lots of bands, music, etc so we'll probably go and listen to some. Sunday: Heading to Traverse City for the Cherry Festival. Its a week long festival and Sunday is the air show and huge craft/car show. I hope I'll meet my daughter there - we went last year and had a great time. Monday: Back to the local town and their festivities and fireworks.
2. Favorite item to have aquired since surgery? My vitamin pill boxes. They keep me on the straight and narrow. I also love my shaker cup and my new bewbies...
3. Challenges/ Victories? Getting my protein drinks in the past few days and drinking too many adult beverages. I did make Bekahs Click protein fudgesicles - YUMMMMM
Oh - and the job is in the bag!! Yea!! Negotiated salary today
and did well wth it. I'll probably start the 3rd week of July. Oh - and I got my FIRST retirement check today - yea! I won't feel so bad about waiting a few more weeks to start work.

1. Headed out of town for a big Native American pow-wow and then a BBQ/swim party on Monday.
2. New boobs. Sorry, but it's the truth...
3. Getting my family to eat healthier has been a challenge. Maybe it's the fact that DH has gained a sense of mortality as he gets older or that I'm wearing him down - but he is eating better and exercising finally. DD - well... she still loves her Mac-n-cheese but I make it homemade with Dreamfields pasta, low-fat butter, almond milk, and organic cheese powder. She still eats too much of it but at least it's a little healthier version.
