What was your favorite NSV lately?

I love to reflect on my non-scale victories.  It helps to keep me motivated and gives me perspective about the number on the scale.  

This week was full of NSVs. I was at a large meeting where I had not seen most of the folks since my surgery.  I got a lot of compliments and questions asking if I was okay.  My favorite is a guy who asked my colleague in all seriousness if I was "Amy's sister."  I love that!  I just may have to assume an alter identity!

Rock on, Amy. I've been watching the scale this week Cut my hormones to half strength and I've been watching the scale inch back down. Yeah!

Yes, I had one yesterday and was tickled to death. I mowed the front lawn (push mower) and did not have to get my inhaler or get winded! It was AWESOME!

Here's an odd one but made me smile just the same.....I was shaving my armpits in the shower yesterday and notice that my armpit is actually curved in there now~not one fold of fat meeting the other!!  I was like "right on, now if these batwings would just fly away!"

When I was almost at goal someone wrote and asked if anyone was having trouble shaving their hollow armpits and I laughed because I wasn't.  It wasn't long after I hit goal that I realized...WOW my armpits are sunken it....I'VE MADE IT!!!!

 I had to get a new (to me) dryer the other day and they lady that was putting it in couldn't attach the vent because it was too short so she asked me if I could get in there and attach it because I was so "tiny".  I couldn't believe she was talking to me.  I wasn't sure how I would get out of there after I attached it but I said I would  try.  I went in there and she had to push the dryer to about a foot from the wall for the vent to attach.  I got it on and I didn't know how on earth I would get out.  I decided to just jump up and over the dryer and I couldn't believe how easy it was.  She said I looked like a cat, lol.  Then, yesterday, I realized the damn thing wasn't attached anymore.  My boyfriend pulled the dryer out and I got in there again and attached it again and jumped over it again.  I never thought I would be able to do something like that.

Isn't it nice when you get genuine compliments?

I took a kickboxing class Tues, first time I've done any cardio like that in a VERY long time... and I kept up and went at the same pace as the rest of the class!  Granted I am still stiff and feeling the pain two days later... but it's a good pain, can't wait to do it again!

We are having our 40th Class Reunion in two weeks (I know, I've been out of school longer than the majority of you have been around...LOL)  and I've been searching for a dress to show off my new figure. 

5 years ago when we went I spent almost $200.00 and  bought a nice pants outfit in a size 20 and had the pants taken in because they were a little too big (I needed the bigger top).  As soon as I sat down they split the whole way up the front....!!  I was so relieved that the split was in the front and my long top covered it and I didn't need to ask my DH to keep checking my butt...Although he gladly would have!!

Anyway back to the present.  I went to Boscov's last night because they were having a big dress sale and did you know they have a huge Petite dress section...I spent hours trying on dresses!    They had so many size 4's I was having a terrible time deciding and even though I had a favorite, I bought 4 to take home to get a second opinion from my DH and DD's. 

I would have been happy with any one of them but I was thrilled when they chose the same one that I did.   It's taken me a long time to get out of the "cover up mentally" and buy things to fit. 

Second best thing to finding the perfect dress:   It was marked down to $19.00!!!!!!! I don't understand why but I didn't question it.   DD was in shock and I had to show her the receipt to prove it to her!!  I kept a second one for a wedding tomorrow and I got it for $20.01!!!

Now to buy shoes....yellow would be perfect but I'm not sure I'm brave enough for that!

WOW what a steal on those dresses Roz!!!!  How wonderful I bet you are going look at your reunion!!  Please make sure to take some photos and share!!!  Congrats!  I am supposed to have my 20th in Sept.

I sure am hoping that we are going to get to see pictures of this great outfit!!!  Go for the yellow shoes.
