Spain Highlights
Highlights of my two weeks in Spain.
Temps of over 100 for the last 10 days.. no problem!
Walked 15.5 miles from noon to midnight when it was 105.6 one day.
Fit on the bed on the overnight train comfortably.
Seats in Coach United have gotten so huge!
Wore my pedometer and walked 10-15.5 miles for 13 days straight.
Hit my Weigh****cher Lifetime goal at a meeting in Sevilla, Spain.
Ran up 35 flights/ramps to the top of a cathedral belltower in Sevilla. That was a huge highlight.
Bottled water! Drank a ton and never got dehydrated.
Found a rope swing/zipline in the woods in a park in Granada and had a great time doing it over and over. Image me as Jane in the woods!!
Terrible food but great farmer's markets. Ate a lot of baguette (i know i know) ham sliced from the big leg/cheese/cherrry tomatoes and cherries. The restaurants were way too expensive. A salad, 10 ounce ribeye, 2 dinner rolls, 1 small mineral water, 1 side roasted red peppers, all shared by me and Zach. $85.00
Spain is the greenest country and there were gorgeous parks everywhere to lay in the shade.
Art art and more art. Beautiful museums!!
Got along fabulously well with Zach and got re-energized for coming home to a tough work situation.
Life is good and I have so much to be grateful for!!
Oh wait... I wore SHORTS everyday and was so comfortable! Now that's a big one for me. It's been over 20 years since I felt comfortable hanging my legs out there for the world to see. At a size 10/12 I was the biggest woman around. Everyone over there is pretty thin. But I didn't let it stop me from feeling great about myself! :)

I missed your posts. You always lift me up. The trip sounds fabulous. You and Zach seem to find joy in any surroundings, that is a gift.
Shorts, huh? I'm not that brave, but my spider veins look like an old fashioned highway map. Also, we haven't been all that hot yet. A friend gave me two pairs that she has "outgrown". That is such a switch to be getting clothes from friends. She is no longer a 12 and now I am!
Hope to see you soon.
Yay on your getting clothes from friends. Doesn't that rock? :)

I missed all of you as well!! The great thing about the meal was that we got to share everything. Zach is not a big eater, just an often eater so he would supplement with granola bars or little Trader Joe's bags of nuts and we found fruit along the way. It really doesn't take much to fill up this Sleevie of mine. The trip was way more about the activity accomplishments!
