Thanks Jody, one of my problems is that everything seems to sit well in my pouch. But then that's not really true. We took the grandkids to McDonalds last week and I had a grilled chicken salad. I was pretty sick that evening. I can't handle that kind of food anymore, which is good. I need to go back to some of the basics I used to do like deli roll ups and I need to stop the grazing. I have been real good as far as cookies, pasta, bread, etc., and need to not even try things like those damn apple chips. I get hooked so easily on some of this stuff!

Both are milestones to be proud of.

Sue, belated greetings and congrats-both are milestones..
I know what you mean about sneaky stuff, I got hooked on a snack food called Pirates booty-white cheddar cheese puffs. It too was 2 1/2 servings but it was like a call from a siren-calling my name at night.  I just don't buy them anymore. I have picked them up and then put them back, they could get me in some serious trouble. WE have worked too hard to ever go back to where we came from. HANG TOUGH you and I can do this

Congrats on both milestones.  I am 62 and have been married 39 yrs in Dec.

I don't eat at the table.  I eat breakfast and lunch at the kitchen counter and supper in front of the TV.  I have a protein drink before bed everynight, usually a hot chocolate.  My hard time is late afternoon.  I have a meal at 4-4:30 and if not careful would eat from then until supper at 7.  After that, I am good to wait for my hot chocolate but that "while cooking supper time" is hard for me.

Welcome back.  We missed you.

Price, I have a heck of a time in the evening.  It's like one thing after another.  SF popsicles, then some greek yogurt, then a couple of sf nibs, then....

So, I need to make myself drink water first, then see.

I do think the fluid helps me during the day.  I won't eat until I have at least 20oz of fliud between meals.  I don't know if it would help at night or just make me get up all night to pee.  I try to be done drinking by supper except for my protein before bed.

Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary Sue!!!

I also do really good during the day, but in the evening after supper I have more problems....

I don't get off wor****il 6pm so by the time I do some type of exercise and get home it is after 7pm so supper is after 7pm and then I have a snack before I go to bed.  I rarely eat at the table. Sounds like most of us don't sit at a table to eat meals!!!  I know I am an emotional eater and really have to watch that closely.

Good luck getting back to the good habits.  It helps me to post on the Menus and Miles everyday.

Linda, I need to start posting everyday to Menus and Miles.  When I calculated my recent daily calories it was over 1400.  It can really creep up on me.  I need to print the mantra, "Only nutritious food" on cards and put them all over the house.  I made my dh oatmeal cookies and didn't even take a nibble, then ate a bag of those apple chips.  The oatmeal cookie would have been less carbs and calories.  But, I don't dare touch cookies, cake, pasta, etc., or it would definately be my downfall.
