UGH!!!
sorry you are feeling sick! That is not fun...scramled eggs still make me feel that way 11 months preop...I had a very difficult time transitioning from liquids to puree to soft etc...it took me longer to transition and the doctor said not to push myself..I ended up being on liquids and very few select puree items for like 2 months..then I could start eating more and more soft foods..dense foods like chicken still don't agree with me at all and I typically get 90% of my protein through liquids and soft foods like yogurt..I admit I am a slider and I guess that is bad but my pouch just doesn't like regular food...try to the suggestions for the water and I would back off on trying to eat denser foods at this point...
Did these symptoms just start after 4 weeks or have you been having trouble. Pain and Vomiting are signs of dumping. I dump when I eat to fast, take to big of a bite, or even take 1 bite to much. Did you vomit up foam or food?
Three things caused me pain early out:
1. I couldn't drink for a long time after surgery without pain. My surgeon told me to start using a straw as long as it didn't cause me excess gas. After weeks of trying to drink, using a straw was a life saver. I also had trouble with cold drinks. I had to drink warm things for a long time.
2: My tummy seemed very tender and was always making noises so my Surgeon put me back on my Prilosec and I still take it every day. If I miss a couple of days the rumblings come back.
3: I could not and still can't eat scrambled eggs. The first time I had them they got stuck for a day and a half and I was so miserable and couldn't eat or drink anything. I finally forced myself to throw up and I couldn't believe after all of that time they hadn't disintegrated or went down.
