xp: It's NOT an ulcer

That is what my gastroenterologist told me after he finished the Upper Endoscopy this morning. So that leaves me with a lousy gallbladder causing my issues.

Since I don't see Dr. Boyce until the 15th and dh and I leave town for over a week on the 16th, it will probably be August before I have it removed.

It will be at least September I bet before Dr. Boyce's schedule will have an opening for you.

I hope it is August.

A lousy gall bladder might be easier to take of, rather than an ulcer. Bummer, that you have to go through another procedure.

Maybe it wasn't such a bad practice when WL surgeons would take the gallbladder and the appendix out when they gave you  your WLS. I hope you can hold out and don't have any major flair ups.

Liz,
I'm glad it was not an ulcer.  Hope you can keep it under control until you see the doctor.

GBs aren't fun.  Let's hope you can get it fixed before it causes more issues.

Hi Liz, could you tell me what you were feeling? I had an upper endoscopy wednesday afternoon because my dr, thought I had a stricture or an ulcer.neither was the case but I can't keep any kind of food down and anything I drink or try to eat Causes sooo much pain i can't even drink. I also have this pain under my right ribs that kind of goes around to my back and up to my shoulderblade. it is not always a sharp pain but it is getting steadier. Thanks, Patti
