honestly I don't hate it at all Madame ... I just wonder how to make it work long term AND stay healthy ...
I recognize too that the further out i get from surgery probably the less carbs ( even fat free carbs ) Ill be able to get away with ... but I sure don't want to have to worry about gall bladder issues ...or other organ issues .
I guess I feel theres a definite link to WLS because ive never even HEARD of gallstone problems before OH .... other than with my fatback eating Granny ... and here theyre ridiculously frequent . I think its a problem we can and should strive to SOLVE .
There are many ways to clean the body out of toxins and things that no longer serve us ... blocked up gallbladder juice might be one of these . Someone out here probably knows a natural CURE that works and doesnt harm the body is my thinking ...
my intention is not to scare people or promote any kind of diet ... its to find a workable Solution to an OBVIOUS SERIOUS long term complication of our surgeries ...

I had gallstones during my last pregnancy. I had to have emergency gallbladder surgery when I was 20 weeks pregnant. I was not ever on any kind of special diet before that. Gall stones are just common in people with fair skin, people who are overweight or women who are over 40. It's just that simple.
In addition, gall stones are common after rapid weight loss whether you go low fat, low carb or any other diet that makes you lose weight quickly.
No matter what, gall stones hurt like hell and they often require surgery to get rid of the stones and the gall bladder.
Good luck to anyone going through this pain.
Hugs,

I had gallstones after losing 70 pounds on Nutri/system. At that time, the link between gallstones and rapid weight loss was in the news because everyone was suing Nutri/system, Jenny Craig and others who had you on a 1000 calorie diet with only 10% of calories from fat. In order to stop being sued, they all changed their diets to increase the fat content of their foods. Because a low fat diet combined with rapid weight loss has been shown to trigger gallstones.
There is a lot of scientific data showing that a high protein, low carb diet is perfectly healthy even in the long term. It's been studied for decades at this point.

Well the gallbladder isn't really useless. It definitely has a function. It stores bile and squirts it out when necessary to digest fat. But it's kind of like the stomach. It's definitely useful, but, if you have stomach cancer, you can have it removed and live a full and normal life. Well, you can remove the gallbladder and all that happens is that sometimes it's hard to digest a meal that's really, really high fat.
