Everything flowing as it should

So I had an x-ray and somethin' or another where I drank some barium and they watched it go down.  The radiologist said I was a "little" narrow but that it was normal for this stage of recovery.  So I guess that's a good thing, but the bad thing is I still hurt and am puking up a storm.  My doc was in a "highly involved" surgery this afternoon so I haven't heard back about nausea meds.  So for now, I just keep on truckin!

I hope the doc gets a chance to review your tests and can get you some meds ordered. I know you must feel awful. Do your best. Try water with fresh lime and a little Splenda or some herbal ginger tea. Ginger might help the nausea. Feel better.

That's all well and good except your still puking! I hate to sound judging, but have you considered going to see another doctor? It doesn't sound like yours gives much of a hoot.

Hugs!

The doc called tonight and said he could either give me a scrip for a patch or something to take rectally...I told him he could atleast buy me a non-alcoholic, decaffeinated, un-carbonated drink first...he didn't see my humor.  So I'm going to try the patch for a few days, if that doesn't work, I'm headed in for IV fluids, if THAT doesn't work, I give up.  I was able to drink some powerade this evening with no puking, so that's a good thing!  Baby steps maybe?

Rebecca, glad at least you KNOW you are okay..hopefully the patch works for you and you don't have to do the IV..

Good luck with the patch! I had one for during and after my surgery and it was marvelous.
