...well, not really but raised voices over the house cleaning issue. We never argue like this. Never. We usually can read each others minds and understand each others reasons. Not this time. {sigh} Anyway, I think I've won. Even his carpool buddy has a cleaning person come in once a month. Woot! Things are stacking up against him and he has caved....I think. He told me this morning about the carpool buddy and I asked him to get the cleaning lady's info or ask to have her contact us. That way he has a part in this and it's not all me getting it done. I told him again I didn't want him to have to do it and I couldn't, so this was a win-win solution. Why do I keep having to remind him about my back? He knows I can't even lift a laundry basket and he always helps with that...compartmentalized memory I guess. The saga continues. I appreciate your patience, guys. This has been bothering me for awhile now.

Part 2: The scale has dropped 2 pounds since I started snapping my hormone meds in half.   Who knows, maybe I'll get back to 120 by this weekend. I wore a pare of 6 petites yesterday and thought I was going to lose them by the end of the day. lol  They fit fine when I put them on in the morning. Crazy, babeeees!

Y'all have an awesome Friday.

UPDATE: He "forgot" to ask his carpool buddy for the contact info of his cleaning lady today. He road 1 hour to work and 1 hour from work with this guy. Yeah, right!

Hope you get your cleaning lady soon.  I love having someone come, even if it isn't very often.

Maybe it was the day for DISCUSSIONS with DH.  Mine was convinced that the new trailer couldn't be pulled safely with my truck.  So I finally buckled and we spent hours at a dealer.  Then we had to have DISCUSSIONS with them.  I hate car dealing and somehow I have had the PLEASURE of doing it 2x in the last few weeks, for a car for me and now a truck.  I think we settled on one yesterday but have to go back this morning.  Which means I will be doing that instead of driving my ponies.  UGH.

Good for you both for dropping the 2# and recognizing where they came from.  I bounce so much these days, that I can't seem to attribute to anything, I'm not sure I would have figured it out.

Back in my old life I had cleaning people come in.  It just made the household run better - no hard or bad feelings that one or the other wasn't keeping up their part of the bargain.

I have a pair of size 6 jeans I bought at a consignment store that are like that.  Fit fine then
by the middle/end of the day they're bagging big time, moving around and I have keep pulling them up.

Now yesterday I was at Macy's and they had Levis on sale for 70% off - so there were $13.  I went and tried on a pair of 6's and could hardly get them up.  But meanwhile I was wearing my GAP 4's.  I didn't buy them.  I think they are one brand that hasn't jumped on the vanity sizing cart as hard as the rest.  BUT - my mind STILL wouldn't let me try on an 8.  I figured I had enough jeans anyway.

But - I did find myself a cute sundress at Penneys and a pair of sandals w/heels at Famous Footwear that were on clearance (I don't think their clearance prices are all that great either).

Yea on the hormones!!  I got back from Houston and was scared to death to get on the scale, but it was okay.  Whenever I saw something to Tom about being fat he just snickers and says "yea right". He doesn't understand I guess... He said "did you lose weight while gone"?  Ummm no, but didn't gain, so that's good too.

Ooooh, I gotta talk to you about Gap and vanity sizing!

I hit their clearance last week (and scored some CUTE stuff while clearnace was 50% off!!!) while wearing a pair of Gap size 4 jeans I'd picked up from Goodwill.  I really like the style and fit, so when I saw the same jeans in a 4 on the rack, I took them into the fitting room.

Waaaayyyy too big!  I asked the clerk to get me a size 2, held the 2s up to my 4s, and THEY WERE THE SAME EXACT SIZE.  Not just one pair, but 3 pairs.

On the other hand, some of the jeans (in different styles) were still 4s that fit.  So the moral for me with Gap at this point is:

Try them ALL on because you never know!

Gina, do we need to send "bail money" or flowers? (As in flowers to the funeral home, :) )

I hate it when discussions get heated. But glad you may have gotten it resolved. If you get the same cleaning lady and he is the one who handles the contact, he just might come around.

Dh was hesitant at first but I simply could not do all I needed to do and he worked. Now we just make sure that that money is in the budget...cause it does feel much nicer to have a clean house and not have to do it all yourself.

We had my aunt's memorial service last night but before we had that, we all went to dinner at her favorite restaurant. The owners even closed it to the public for us. Of course, we filled up the place so they really didn't lose money on this.

The tension in the room however was so thick, you could have cut it with a knife. My sister, her dh and her married dd's acted really pissy to our daddy, me, and dh. Tried to act like we didn't even exist.

Dh and I sat with another cousin and her date. She's been dating the physician that cared for her mom and for my aunt at the hospital. It was nice to be able to discuss our surgery with someone who had an understanding of human anatomy even if he didn't know about the DS. Since FL doesn't even have a DS surgeon, he knows little about it. But he did see our composite photo and watched us eat so he does have an understanding that it's a good option. He's a REALLY nice guy. He works in the Internal Med section at the hospital. So teaching him something about us may help. :)

DH and I had that fight 18 years ago.  I got household help and he got over it.  Fast-forward to today -- Cleaning Lady Day is like a holiday at our house.  Every two weeks we have a mini-celebration about how smart we are for doing it. She is worth every penny!

We had a long weekend in Montana visiting with my siblings (made longer by mechanical aircraft difficulties).  I was very happy to come home a pound down.  The food was amazing, but very protein centric.

Lucky you on the cleaning lady part! It will definately be nonexistent in this house forever. The cleaning lady is DH and I.... Although the kids have chores and I enforce they get done, they seem to make it worse before it even starts **sigh**.
Anyway have a great day

Ahh Gina! You're having a "connection" week with me. The housecleaning is a huge issue for me and DH. We're on a budget now (woot, woot - go Dave Ramsey go!) and we BOTH agreed that the housecleaning lady is a part of the budget. We get her not as often as I'd like, but enough to help with the dog hair and the bathrooms. I'd much rather be working with dogs and forcing myself to the gym than cleaning house - so I give up on movies, buying new clothes, and new books (library is my new friend). We also don't have cable or satellite - so that's one visit a month from the cleaning lady right there. I so LOVE coming home to a clean smelling house and enjoying my limited time with DH at the house (he lives 3 hours away during the week).

part 2: my scale is still going down - goal is 130 and I'm almost to 150 now. 150 or thereabouts will be my 100lb loss marker. I think that will happen when I'm at our staff meeting all next week - guess I can celebrate with my co-workers!
