Good afternoon LW's! Just checking in

Hello LW's,
Just enjoying an afternoon off.  I dont have my 2 granddaughters today and I am off of work. My 2 teenage sons are busy with friends.  So its a rainy afternoon here, I am enjoying checking in on everyone. It is so good to see so many new faces on the board, you guys have been a busy bunch.
I have had a most productive day so far, picked 8 quarts of strawberries (thank goodness it was sunny this morning!) , been to the bank and the grocery store. Just started some laundry. Gonna sleep good tonight, I hope. Been have some female issues and I think my hormones maybe changing, I havent been sleeping well and my monthly has turned into about every 21 days. I dont think I can keep up with my iron, will get labs next month.
I wonder if for these reasons, I have been at a stall. Last week cut out all my simple carbs, to hopefully help with my candida problem and get the scale moving again. I am not happy at 134, I am only 5'1" and would love to be in the 120's. I do not have a petite frame, so I think
the 110's my be too thin for me. My ribs and collar bones are already sticking out. But I will see what I can do, it is good to see some muscle definition forming, my arms are starting look pretty muscular!
Well just wanted to check in and say HI! I am still lurking, but its usually at night and too tired to post.
Hope everyone has a great day!

~Maria

Hi Maria!

I go next week to the Internist to see about my low ferritin.  Went today and had new labs drawn - I've been taking my Proferrin more regularly since the last labs.  I know it hasn't been long but I'm curious to see if it made any change to the number.

As far as my fatigue and forgetfulness - still as bad as ever.

I was on the Regrets board today and found some rather interesting information regarding nutrient deficiency.  I'm going to post a new thread with the links.  You may want to go take a look.

Hi Maria,
It is good to hear from you.  It took me forever to get to where I wanted to be and would still like to be a couple pounds lower for a little more bounce back.  I'm 5'1 1/2" so about the same as you.  I'm bouncing between 128 and 130 most weeks.  I'm happy with that because it is normal, but I don't have much room to play with.  I have increased my exercise hoping to drop a few more and increase some muscle mass because I don't have much strength anymore.
Good luck and keep us updated on your progress.

Life does get busy and we don't get to post as much.

When I was going through the change, my periods just kept gettting closer and closer.  We called it the big bang theroy, thought they would get closer and closer together until I was just always on my period.  Yuck.  Anyway, I had fibroid turmors and had a hysterectomy and that ended that.

Cutting the carbs should get your loss happening again.  Stay in touch when you can.

Hi Maria,
21 days! I went through that with fibroids, and a partial hysty made my life oh so much better. Hoping the issue resolves for you.

How do you know you have candida problems?

I'm 5' tall and my NUT told me that if I dropped down to 10% body fat composition, I'd STILL be above where I want to be weight wise, based on BMI tables.  So BMI tables aren't the be all and end all.

The candida problem from hell was diagnosed from the gyn. A week of monistat did nothing and had to do 2 rounds of prescription cream terazole to get rid of the darn thing!
