Moodswings and headaches after WLS
Moodswings are pretty common for 4-8weeks following surgery. I think it's mainly just due to the change in your body and the way it processes things.
I've had hunger headaches with diets before and no, I haven't had one since the surgery. Thank goodness. That would be pretty miserable.
You get so full from the little bit you eat; I think that prevents the headaches.

No hunger headaches here either.
I think the mood swings are because hormones are stored in your fat and when you lose fat quickly, you release them. Can make folks very moody for a while but I'm not sure how long it last.

I am about as even tempered as they come (by nature), but after surgery I was "*****y" for weeks! It was like a slow simmer.... I readily controlled it, but it was a good thing I woke up alone in the a.m.'s. Nobody around to get on my every nerve.
I found I was easily annoyed with customers (Something that rarely happens in my everyday life), but was able to keep a lid on it. Good thing, as these people are my bread & butter, ya know? As the day wore on, I felt better too.
I experienced low grade headaches early out from surgery also. I'm not sure if it was residual effects from anesthesia, carb withdrawl, or possible slight dehydration? ... The world may never know. I sure am glad to be over those symptoms though. And I was able to just ride them out without taking otc meds.
