Well, I will tell you that I think very few of us were recommended by our primary care doctors...Personally, I found a WLS "clinic" that specializes in surgeries and directly called them to make an appointment my "doctor" had nothing to do with it. In fact, my "doctor" is kind of an idiot (although I do like her) and really doesn't know much about my surgery..I would recommend googling "weight loss program" or "weight loss clinic" in xxx where ever you are and going that way. If you really want this then don't let one idiot person hold you back..if you don't really want it then I guess light up and be defeated..sorry for the tough love but sure hate for you to miss out on something you truly want..
