4 weeks out - No more restrictions!
I had my 4 week Nut appointment. I'm clear for all food and exercise - as long as I can handle it.
I'm still in a stall. I've lost a pound or so, but that's about it. The Nut told me to up my protein a bit. It was funny, I told her I can't stand the protein shakes anymore and she said she didn't blame me. She said she can't stand them herself. I have to keep a protein journal to see how much I'm getting in so we can find ways to get in more. Hopefully without having to have too many of the nasty shakes. My eating is all within the normal/good ranges. I eat between 1/4-1/3 cup about 3 times per day. I do need to add like a cup of milk or something a couple of times a day, but other then that I'm good. Vitamins are also no problem, I've gotten in a good system with that.
I spent most of the day working outside yesterday. Weeding and weeding some more. The back of my thighs are aching and burning! I LOVE IT!!!
I swear the exercise and activity makes me feel more human.
I feel like I passed through a door today. No more restrictions, nothing more holding me back. I'm finally starting my new normal life. And I'm excited about it.
I didn't lose as much as I'd hoped this first month. But hey, it's just the beginning and it's more then I would have ever lost on my own.
My tickers only show what I've lost since surgery. But since March, I've lost about 36lbs.
I am still wearing loose, cotton pants because of my incisions (which are almost all healed up!). Yesterday I had to keep changing my pants cuz they are all too loose and uncomfortably so!!
Life is good.
Anyway, I just wanted to update you all. Hugs and love to you all!!

A stall is when you don't lose any weight at all for two weeks or more.
So, no, you aren't in a stall.

Congratulation Kelly, we are surgery sisters and you are doing fantastic. I too saw my dietician last week and pretty much the same as you now and I was told to try and eat all regular foods now. (Low sugar & low fat of course)I was a low weight revision and so far lost 11.1l bs (5kgs) so I'm pretty happy about that too. Keep up the great work.
Cheers from Karin (in Oz)
I just love how all these programs are so different. Here I am 10 months out and haven't been released for "everything" yet.
Keep trying protein drinks. In the long run, it is hard to get all your protein in with food and your taste continue to change. There are many of us *****ly on protein drinks to stay healthy. I am back in love with Syntrax nectar, vanilla this moring in my coffee. I stopped buying them for a while and tried other things but I really think, for me, they are the best. Just sorry I didn't order the mint when I was ordering.
Congrat on your success so far, it only gets better.

FANTABULOUS Kelly! You are doing awesome, especially for only a month out. I was a slow loser....still am.....but it will come off and I just have to focus on that I am further that I have ever been before.
I'm with Price....try the Syntrax Nectar. I've tried a few and my favority is the fuzzy navel....note so milky tasting.
