Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!    Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my top reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

Happy Thursday!!   I'm going to cut back on snacks today!!!  I've been eating even good things mindlessly lately.   Have a Great One!!!!

During the honeymoon period "Bad" carbs will slow down our losing but most of the time we don't realize that's even happening  because we are still losing and we "think" we are getting away with it, but worse than that,  "Bad Carbs" lead to bad habits and  then when we get to maintenance we start gaining.

Good totals!!  I like they way you experiment and come up with creative things.  Do you post your recipes on you Profile Page?

 I live to experiment!
I love the challenge to take something I loved when I was unhealthy and change it to fit my new lifestyle and know it's healthy and I'm not losing anything for it other than weight.
Yup, I post all my recipes in my blog, but there also a lot of personal crap interspersed in it so tread with care ;)
I'm always more than happy to post recipes for you guys, in fact on some of the other groups/message boards I belong to we have a sticky for recipes, what would you think of starting one on here so that everyone can share in the fun?

Funny thing is that I'm the world's pickiest eater. I think I started experimenting as a way to survive. Like a lot of low carb recipes are all onion onion onion, and I'm allergic. Once I started swapping out the onions, I started thinking, saaaay this would have more protein if I used cottage cheese or greek yogurt instead of cream, sour cream, cream cheese etc and then.. ooh! what about....? I take things a little too far, but hey, works for me

I think starting a recipe post would be a great idea!!!!   I just hope everyone is wise about what they post.  Some people think because it's posted on a weight sight that it's ok to indulge.

My DH is a very picky boring eater so I've never really learned how to cook.  If I find something he likes I don't adjust it at all!!!!!!   Me, I've never been a big meal eater, I just prefered a bag of chips or a package of cookies over having lunch or dinner.  Your breakfast bars sound delicious but I'm afraid I'd over do it and use them for comfort food.   I loved the SF PB cookies but it was a battle to limit myself to 2 a day so I'm not going to make anymore for awhile.

maybe if we make people post disclaimers or even ::shock:: nutritition breakdowns under their recipes?
we should all use discretion and moderation and know what foods to stay away from, but hey sometimes things are just sooooooooo nommy, we get sick, and hopefully learn our lessons ;P
Some people are low fat, some are low carb, some are moderation and balance. The great thinga bout sharing recipes is if you don't like the fat content or carb content then you can always switch it out and play with it until it suits your needs

i love to cook big meals, but i get bored with foods fairly quickly, they the meals were never my problem, i'm a snacker too, and i overindulge on things that are supposed to be healthy (like store bought protein bars) and they aren't allowed in my house anymore.

I think they should definitly have to put the nutrition breakdowns on when they post...especially for people like me who don't have time to figure it out for themselves.

I only use Rock n Roll Protein bars  on occasion and even those I can only eat a 1/2 at a time because of the nuts.
