Good Morning. Ok, that does it!

Son#2 left me a note to read when I got up this morning. Seems he saw a damn mouse in the house trying to make its way down to the basement last night. That's where all his boxes and crap are that he brought in from that nasty apartment he was living in while at school. I know he brought spiders with him because there were plenty in the apartment. That place should have been condemned but he lived in it for a year. Now I got his rodents and bugs!

Ugh!  What are you guys up to today?

Yuck.  I can live with bugs but I don't like mice.  I keep mice poisen in the cabinets, under the sink, under the trash can.  Places where the dogs can't get to them.  Living in the country, we have an occasional visitor that we never see but all of a sudden, the poisen box will be empty.  The barn is a different matter.  We never had rodents when we had cats but the cats all died of old age and I won't bring a new one in with these 3 dogs.  We have a neighorhood cat that I see in the barn occasionally.  I wish I could convince it to live there but I am afraid if I put feed out for it, I will be feeding the mice and rats instead.

Paperwork, driving ponies if it isn't raining, taking the new to me trailer for a safety inspection at the trailer repair company.  DH wants to be sure it is safe for me to take on the road (brakes, berrings, etc)

Price,

What kind of trailer did you end up with? Full living quarters or the "cowboy weekend" package? Tell me all about it. I'm jealous - but can't see gettting a trailer just for the hunting trips and dogs, gotta wait until I get the horse to go with it. I've found a good deal on a Tennessee walker that I think might work for what I wanted - now that I'm loosing the weight, I'm thinking more of a riding horse and less of a driving pony. I always really liked to ride when I was in college and before. This big guy is a retired field trial horse owned by friends of mine. They just want him to go somewhere he'll be spoiled and still ridden some. I think I might be able to make this work but DH is adamantly opposed - so it might take me some time to work on him.

It's an essix 1991 4 horse slant with the dressing room made into "cowboy weekend" edition.  It was home done but not too badly.  I can get both ponies and both carriages in and that was primary concern.  It is in very good condition exterior and interior.  We took it today to be checked out and it will have new brakes when it comes home.  I want to do a little painting in the "living quarters" part and get it fixed up but it will be fine and really all I need.  I didn't want the extra lenght or weight of a real living quarters trailer.
Of course, it is never really that easy because as soon as we were bringing it home, DH said we had to have a bigger truck than our 1/2 ton. So we spent today looking at used 2500 trucks.  Yuck.  We may have found one that will be ok and not too much $$.  I'll go drive it tomorrow.  Keep your fingers crossed.
I've thought I need a gated horse for trail riding but I think if I mentioned another horse my DH would shoot me in my sleep.  I'll just have to learn to stay on my Morgan.

I got home yesterday, opened up my mail and found out they scheduled me for my bone density test and mammogram TODAY.  Glad I didn't decide to dilly-dally getting home.

So - I'm trying to decide if I'm going to go ahead and get my labs drawn while in town.  That means I have to WAIT to have my coffee and I'm NOT good at that.  Only 1 test needs fasting, the Glucose and I don't know why she's ordering that again.  Perhaps because I said "Reactive Hypoglycemia"?  The last labs had me within normal ranges.  This is for prep for going to the Internist for my iron.  She also ordered D, A, Selenium and some others that were missed last time.

So I'm wondering - if I have my coffee will they draw ALL but the glucose or non of them?

Sorry about your mice and spiders - yuk!!

Good morning. Good luck getting rid of all those nasties. I hate all spiders and mice, well anything else like that too.

I'm headed to the pool with my daughter, and some friends today.

My mom just spent $500 last month cause a damn mouse moved into her CAR and ate one of the air filters which blew threw the entire engine.

A couple of days ago her car is running funny again, so off to the garage it does and guess what! Another mouse nest!  I've offered to lend her my cat, but she's not going for it so far. :0)

Oh YUCK, Gina...time to take a stand NOW...hope you can get rid of the mice.

We are in a hotel on the south side of Jacksonville. Since it was almost a 10 hour drive down and we had to be here by 3:30 for the first of our scheduled events, we came down a day early.

Gonna strangle my daddy tho if dh doesn't first..;Anyone up for bail money if we need it????? He was trying to TEACH dh how to drive...like Charles hasn't been driving all these years. But we held our tongues and got here.

Gonna be here thru Sat and then head back to my daddy's to drop him off and then Sun head home.

Yeah  turn Newton loose  !  That cute  lil rascal needs a JOB !!    He'd  probably think it was Christmas lol   ..... ( I'm not  sure what the mouse would think though  ...  )   .

I had one that scarfed down ALL  my heirloom seeds  I saved for YEARS in the basement ..... Oh  such a treasure trove ... ate all the leftover chicken feed   and then it had the NERVE to WADDLE  out the DOOR  when I opened it in the spring .... and there I was , broom in hand  too soft hearted to do anything but laugh at its fat azz...  and BOY  was it FAT  !!

For  what its worth clawless  ,  flat faced  6 lb cuddle-puss Mini-me caught not one but  TWO  mice in one night in  North Carolina !   Boy  was he PROUD  of himself  ..... Preening , Strutting  oh MY ...  that cat seriously took  a victory  lap  lol    .  He has hopefully stalked birds and even  squirrels (  almost his size ) in  the garden ever since not that he has a prayer of ever catching one lol ..
