Thanks so much everyone for all your replies.  At least I know I'm not out of the ordinary.  Grieving for food I think is right up there and I have a few issues at home too which isn't helping at all.

Cheers from Karin (in Oz)

Yep  .  I  sniffled and cried all t he time .  I missed the ability to turn to my so called best friend  excess food  lol...   and then I was also  going through WITHDRAWALS  from my food/ serotonin   addiction   and feeling like I was STARVING ... and NAUSEAUS all the time .. and like Id been run over by a mack truck  ...

trust me Karin in 6 weeks it gets a LOT better  !!   ( when the internal  stitches heal ) and the pouchie relaxes  a little ...   Ull be a new  smiling skinnier woman ..

Hang in there Karin!
I was the same way too. Nothing like a pampers commercial to get me bawling. Or my hubby saying how was your day. Dont worry this will pass and if it doesnt make sure you speak with your doc. I didnt need any meds, but a few extra sessions with psych helped me learn some better coping skills since food was out.

Big hugs!
