Good luck.  That is pretty quick and I hope it happens for you.  Most Dr's offices are pretty good at keeping track of which insurance will pay for what and what their requirements are so they should know.

I will be self pay. The consult/nut are part of the program. My insurance will cover psych and lab work. KC Bariatric in Kansas City is running a special for self pay. It is $11,999.00. One night stay in hospital and then back home so it works out for me time/money wish compared to Mexico. I am sooo exicited to get the ball rolling!

I must admit it sounds a bit unusual for a bariatric center to be running a special.  But we're all looking for something great on sale!

They just moved into a new building (it is very nice) they are offering self pay people the $11,999. Both docs are board certified and I spoke with a former patient of the practice (she is here on the boards) and she was very happy with them. It will be very nice to do all my follow ups nearby and the surgery in the states. My hubby (veterinarian) was not thrilled with the idea of going out of country for surgery.

Being self pay I see no reason it won't happen.  Its great your insurance is covering some of the tests.  Good luck and hope your surgery is soon!
