FINALLY made a GOOD protein coffee
As some of you know I have had the hardest time making a decent protein coffee. Part of the problem has been that I can't make a good slurry with the protein first, and even when I can I don't like the taste but...
Now...
brew up one cup of coffee in my blender ball cup. cool in fridge. then add two scoops of Nectar Cappucino protein powder to it and shake, shake, shake. Keep in fridge and add 1/3 to 1/2 of it to my next brewed cup of coffee. Yum!
So for those of you, like me, who haven't yet found a protein source you like, KEEP TRYING.

I really love the Nectar chocolate. It doesn't seem to have a lot of fillers in it and is very smooth to mix.
Glad you found something! It can be hard. Now try it with a chocolate - I also add the Peppermint Paddy SF syrup to mine, makes it a chocolate mint coffee - yummmy!
I also take my large shaker cup, mix half milk and half water, add 2 scoops of the cappacino with ice and have a cold protein latte - great for hotter weather.

I use cold coffee to mix in my protein too, except it gets cooled while I am getting ready for work I am sipping it. Usually, by the time I am ready to leave it is cold, I then mix in with a spoon my protein and then pour on the hot coffee and stir again. Hey, whatever works!! Glad you found a way that works for you, it's how I start my morning every day!!

I've been mixing 1/2 vanilla, 1/2 cappucino into a slurry then adding it to my coffee lately. I change all the time but that is my newest favorite. Some proteins just mix a lot easier than others. The cappucino mixes very easily but the lemon tea is a bear to mix. I love both, however.

With any of the protein powders, I've found the best way to mix it is with an immersion (hand) blender. Cuisinart makes a good one, but there are many other brands as well. It is very quick and does the job nicely without pulling out a standing mixer and having to take it apart and wa**** every morning!
