I normally find that someone else can find a better online food journal or book journal than I can on my own so any ideas would be most welcome!

I use fitday.com and I like it but I don't think it's the best one.  It doesn't have store brand suggestions like some of the other ones do.  Dailyplate.com has a place you can input your own recipes and get the breakdowns and they have recipes that others have entered.   OH has a site under tools but I don't know much about it.

I use http://www.myfitnesspal.com/ and this also has a free iPhone App that is really easy to use.  It has quite a large food database too.

I normally use fitday.com but sometimes I find it very frustrating, currently looking for a different one.

I changed to Myfitnesspal from dailyplate.  They changed the daily plate (Livestrong.com) and made it difficult to maneuver.  I also have an app on my phone for myfitnesspal, even though I find tracking on the computer much easier...

I've been using Calorie Counter by fat secret. I found it free in the IPad apps, and they have where you can scan barcodes, lots of resturants, list of store brands. So far I think it's a great tool.

i tried sparkpeople, fitday, this site's logger, and the weigh****cher's logger, as well as what I ended up with: myfooddiary.com.

drawback to mfd.com is that it costs $9.95 a month. Advantages are that it works on my smartphone, has gazillions of entries already, accepts manually entered foods (and calculates the nutritional values for you), accepts recipes and calculates nutritional values, has a body and weight tracker, has a very good exercise tracker, is easy to use, and doesn't seem to break down. Pllus, the site always seems to be up.

If I go back to ww, I'll probably drop the mfd and use the ww site, since i'm already paying for it in the ww dues.

my $.02  worth.

I use the tracker on this site.  It has most everything I need and it is easy to add something if they don't have what you need.

I use to use sparkpeople, then went to fitday.  I'm still looking too.
