Good Morning. Do you notice your posture?

Ava mentions posture quite a bit and I think that's a good thing. I noticed mine yesterday when a couple of the younger guys came to me with questions. I was out walking and they came out looking for me. So when I get to them, I immediately assume my "colonel posture". lol  You know the one, back straight, arms crossed, serious expression.   Anyway, I just thought it would be kind of funny if one were looking at the three of us from a little bit away. Me and my 5 foot nothing 120 pound self, all puffed up, and these two young studs meekly asking questions.

What gave you a self depreciating chuckle yesterday?

You go Colonel Gina!
Nothing out of the ordinary here yesterday. Beautiful morning here, going to get Buddy (my yellow goofy lab) and go for a long walk before the grands get here.
Maybe get some fresh strawberries! Love this time of the year!

Hope everyone has a great day!

I know when I bring myself up to full everything the older kids laugh at me now, which is NOT what I want. I have always kept a good posture (too many years of dance lessons and drumming) The reality of it just makes you stop and think...

Posture has always been a struggle for me. Maybe I should have spent some time in the military!! I feel like building up more core muscles will help, but I hate core exercises. In the meantime, I try to remind myself to "straighten up!"

LOL, Gina, it may have looked funny at a distance but those kids were SERIOUS!

One would think some time in the military would have straighten up my posture but it wasn't until I spent 12 weeks in a "corset" brace after my back surgery that I had to really FOCUS on keeping my spine straight.

I'm far better at it now than I was prior to 2006. But in recent years, last 2 actually, I've started "slumping" again.

You seem to have a knack for posting just what is on my mind!!  I've noticed that the more I lose the more aware of my posture I become. I now notice it when I'm driving in the car, walking, looking in the mirror, etc.  I can actually feel myself being hunched over now!! Weird!!

No big plans here for the day, working unfortunately. I am so ready to retire and find a less stressful job....but I'm only 41 and retirement seems like such a long ways off...
My goal today was to fly under the radar at work.

I guess it wasn't to be tho....It is only 8:10am and I'm already receiving nasty emails . Calgon~~~take me away!

I noticed my posture yesterday when I was walking.  Mine has always been so bad.  I am really trying to make an effort to stand up straight and try to walk that way instead of stooped over.

Little Willie and his friend Pebbles(my niece's dog we are babysitting this week) are so funny.  They give us a laugh all the time.  They love to play together and are so funny!!

Hope everyone has a great day.

My posture... check out my before pics on my profile. I'm crooked. Like, honestly, physically crooked. I was once measured by a chiropractor and I'm over 1 1/2" off on one side.

I thought I had pretty good posture till one day not long ago DD and I were going into a store and she said"Mamma, stand up straight! You are humped over like an old lady!" So I became aware of how I was actually carrying myself and began to realize that I often don't have the best posture. I now am aware of being straighter.

I also notice that when my posture is slacking,my back hurts across the bottom of my shoulder blades. When I straighten up,it hurts less.

Wonder if my tennis balls in tube socks are hangin differently sinc I have lost and making my back hurt, lol.
