I have a much better suggestion than the protidiet grape drinks and it is probably much cheaper and much more protein.  Go to GNC and  Isopure Zero Carb Protein Drinks.  They come in 20 ounce bottles for about $3 or $4 and they have 40 grams of protein per bottle.  I know with the protein powder, you can taste if and if you dont like it you can return it, I dont' know if you can do it with the protein drinks but you can ask.  The Isopure comes in about 7 or 8 flavors including grape which I think tastes pretty good.  I have only tasted one other flavor which is the fruit punch - it is on the sweet side but if I am in the mood, I like it.  The protein is great and for newbies, it is very popular.

I can't believe your surgeon is expecting you get 83 grams of protein and you are only 1 month out.  That is crazy. The goal at the beginning is to try to get as close to 60 as possible but it usually take about a month to get there unless people know about these high protein drinks.

I am not sure what Gatorade protein recovery is but I hope it doesn't have the sugar or the calories like the regular stuff does.  The G2 is good and you can put unflavored protein in it which is very similar to the isopure.

Other options are unjury.com has a protein broth that I have heard is very popular.

Here is  a recipe that you can try that is high in protein

Protein hot chocolate

Make No Sugar added hot chocolate as usual.

In a small bowl, take a scoop and a half of chocolate protein powder (I use ProPerformance from GNC) and add 1/3 of a cup of cool water and mix until smooth.  Never use warm or ho****er with protein powder or you will have a clumpy mess.

Take protein mixture and add it to the hot chocolate and mix.  Add some milk to taste.

This will give you approx. 35 grams of protein per  mug.  I used to drink it 2 times per day for a hefty amount of protein just from hot chocolate.

I hope this helps.
