Today is the big day!!!
I was up early, all showered up, packed and just waiting for 10:00 to roll around so we can leave for the hospital. Have to be there for 11:00 and surgery is at 2:00. Wow. Hard to believe the day is here. Just under 7 months from referal to surgery day. I think that is a pretty darn good timeline. At the beginning it seemed like it was taking forever but the last month seems to have flown by. Not really nervous but excited for sure. My husband and mother are coming to the hospital to be with me. I gotta say that my husband has been such an amazing support for me. He took over the cooking duties while I was on Optifast and doesn't snack on crap at night.
I should be home Friday around lunch time so I will try to post if I am not too tired.
Thanks to everyone for all your kindness and good thoughts.

I am so glad I had the 6:30am arrival time and didn't have to wait.
