OT--- I was hand picked!!!

I can not believe that anyone would think of me and I am SOOO surprised.  As most in the board know I am active with the National Hemophilia Foundation and the Virginia Hemophilia Foundation (my children are afflicted with bleeding disorders as well as I am) I recieved an email personally asking me to be on the board of directors for the Virginia Chapter!
OMG! ME REALLY! Ok I know it is a volunteer position but to be asked and to find out that more than 3 people personally asked for me is what makes it feel better. I feel honored to be honest and I am really looking forward to this new job.

I know it was of topic but I really wanted to share.  Without my WLS I do not know if I would have accepted the position, I guess I have changed and it is for the better, I now have more confidence than I have ever had before and for the first time in a long time, I am looking forward to doing something.

That's AWESOME!  What an honor.....I sure you have a passion for the cause and will do an amazing job at promoting it!  Who knows?  This could lead to something bigger and better (and PAYING!) in the future!!!

It is funny you said Paying, my husband said the same thing. In fact I want to get into the hemophilia field when I get out of school. It will look AMAZING on a resume.

My current career was started basically just like that.  Only my work was volunteer with the Autism Society.

Good for you.  You will be a great assett to them.
