Morning Everyone!    It's Friday!!!!!   Have a Wonderful Weekend!! 

During the honeymoon period "Bad" carbs will slow down our losing but most of the time we don't realize thats even happening  because we are still losing and we "think" we are getting away with it, but worse than that,  "Bad Carbs" lead to bad habits and  then when we get to maintenance we start gaining.

Good morning Roz & fellow LW's!!  Happy Friday!!! 

This morning I stepped on the scale for the first time in a couple weeks and had a wake-up call!  I am up 4.5 lbs!!  So, I am going to be super cautious of what goes in my mouth this week!  I know those fig newtons and extra snacking in the evenings has contributed.  I have been feeling very hungry in the afternoons as well (have to make sure I eat more solid foods, and not sliders) and have gone off plans more times than I've wanted to. 

Sooooooo, I am going to commit  to staying away from those things, sweets (my trigger) especially, I am going to limit carbs, and make sure to wait at least an hour if not two before my next meal.  I am going to drink water in between meals, and if I feel hungry when I know I shouldn't eat.  This is got to be a priority for me!  This is where the fun begins with maintenance, eh??!! :)

hi. did an 8 mile bike ride plus a 3.5 mile jog/walk today. vits done and water is at 80oz. broke down and weighed myself (i was too scared to look) and i was 169.9...so up 1.9lbs...going to weigh in a week and see where i am!

Hi Barbara,  some others may do this differently, but here's what I do...  I have a regular cup of coffee while I am getting ready for work, since I only drink about half it is cold by the time I am ready to leave.  I mix this (cold coffee), in my travel mug with a scoop of my chocolate protein powder (others do vanilla too) this way it mixes, if you did it right in hot coffee it wouldn't, and would be all clumpy.  Then once smooth, I fill the cup with hot coffee and stir again.  I love it and sip it all the way to work.  This keeps me satisfied until about 10am when I then eat my breakfast.  Good luck!
