I am really confused.  If you didnt' have the HIDA scan yet then how do they know it is functioning at 32% with the top % being 30%?  That is the info that you get from a HIDA scan.  I have never heard of any other test giving that information.  Sonograms only tell if you have sludge or stones, or any obstruction in your ducts - there is no way to tell how it is functioning and the same with a CT scan.  What test did you have that told them that info?

I looked up the HIDA scan, apparently they did that but called it a cholescintigraphy on the report which is why a HIDA scan must have been recommended.

A HIDA scan. In this test, a radioactive material called hydroxy iminodiacetic acid (HIDA) is injected into the patient. The radioactive material is taken up by the gallbladder to measure gallbladder function. This test also is referred to as cholescintigraphy.

I was just reading the report. They got confused on terminology.

Thanks, Price.

Just need to get the upper endoscopy done first to disprove the ulcer idea. His reasoning was he'd hate to go for the gall bladder if an ulcer was the real culprit. And that did make sense.
