i love the BBQ ones as well. I was disappointed with the white cheddar and the ranch, but the apple cinnamon ones are fantastic with peanut butter or PB2 on them, have you tried that? so awesome :)

bad fig newtons! i hereby banish them from earth for you! oh. didn't work, did it? oh well, you can banish them from your grocery cart then :) are you one of those people who know you shouldn't be eating something while you are eating it but do it anyway and just feel bad about it and do it anyway? or just realize the bad decision after you've eaten too many of a bad thing? i'm fascinated by what makes people tick

i think my poor eating actually might be a calcium deficiency, most of the stuff I've been craving has had a quite bit of calcium in it and that the only thing it all has in common. or i just miss ice cream and the blended/frozen shakes aren't cutting it anymore

i wish you lot of luck in battling the Mr Fig Newton demon and I am sure you'll come out on top

I haven't seen the apple cinnamon soy crisps around here, but I will keep my eyes open... anything with peanut butter on it is tasty!!  I did get this week regular cinnamon & sugar ones, they are Paul Newman ones.

Yeah, I know I shouldn't be eating the second one WHILE I am eating it, enjoy every moment knowing I probably will feel sick soon but then feel bad after!  I have no idea why I do that to myself, but some days I am just weak, and want the instant gratification knowing I won't be happy that I have done it...  I don't do it often though luckily!

The frozen shakes have been separating on me before I can finish them which grosses me out, so I haven't finished one in a while.  I love to have warm Click, but that gets expensive!

Yeah, the fig newtons are off the list this week!!!  :)

I wonder if it is a calcium thing for you. I wonder what would happen if you upped your calcium, if the cravings go away??!!

Ahh mine are Wegmans brand. The plain ones make excellent nachos. See we're all bad sometimes :P
I do the same thing, it's good to know I'm not the only one who does it...
Ah, see I cheat with my shakes, I was making them in the big blender, one cup for husband, one sippy cup for son, one cup for me and left overs went in 10oz plastic cups and frozen to be eaten as ice cream or italian ice at a later date. Now I have a magic bullet rip off and just make as much as I want for me, DH gets his with less fat more sugar, and mini-beast gets whatever i throw in his, usually gets soy milk added to his since it's around night time anyway and that's what he likes. Have you tried freezing in smaller portions to eat with a spoon? might help :)
for hot I've been doing hot tea (no protein) i love love love the kids throat coat, tastes like liquid marshmallows and makes me believe i'm drinking something sweet and bad when the opposite is true, in fact the marshmallow root in it lowers blood sugar, so it's a win-win for me. a great de-stress habit I'm trying to get into.
Yup, I am planning to up my calcium and hope for the best, we'll see how it goes

Wow, we've really hijacked today huh? I'm feeling really chatty for some unknown reason :P

Good morning Roz :) Your psychic ability is starting to creep me out! I determined last night it was time to increase my calories again as will be reflected in today's menu... well, I'm working up the nerve to go higher, but here's today's plan:

RNY Maintenance-ish, 10.5 months out
Pre-Workout: 3gm protein
Curves: 30 minutes
ProStar Cookies N Creme: 25gm protein
B:Cottage Cheese, strawberries, and kashi: 24.8gm protein
L: BBQ soy crisps, turkey lunch meat, colby jack stick, carrots: 27.5g protein
Snack: String Cheese, Carrots: 7.3gm protein
SWIMMING with the wee one
D: Crab cakes and salad: 16.6gm protein
Dessert: Chocolate Shake, blended with some kind of tasty syrup (SF): 25.1g protein

Totals: 1130 calories, 38.1gm fat, 73.7gm carbs (52gm NET), 129gm protein

It's bizarre how a body can change day to day. Yesterday I felt bloated and pregnant, firm but distended tummy, and today i feel empty, back to squishy but sticking out less. Weight is up and down and all over the place, been drinking an insane amount of water these days. I'm really thinking I have to increase my calories for all the activity I do in a day (bizarre to say as I sit at my desk but my smart tag says I burned 402 calories at the gym this am a record high for me for an am workout) so I may add a nectar this afternoon, maybe sip while at the pool... but I have fear of adding calories, I'm sure this is normal, right?

I'm going to start checking my calories more often.  I didn't realize that I wasn't eating many "planned" foods and thats probably why I would grab a pretzel every once in awhile...which is bad for me!

Good Menu!
