Good Morning. Vitamins, protein and fluids accountability

Ok, ladies and gentlemen, time to be accountable for your vitamins, protein and fluids. Are you being compliant almost always, usually, normally? How are you doing taking your separate iron and calcium? Are your fluids well over 64 ounces, especially considering the heat of the summer? How about your protein? Feeling a little sluggi**** could be your protein.

1) I almost always, usually, normally am good about my vitamins and extra iron and calcium. I do tend to slack on my iron if I get behind on my calcium (usually on the weekend).

2) Protein is good. 120 grams of protein shakes and protein coffee is my safety net.

3) Fluids? Well, I need to get more plan old fashioned water into my routine. Guilty.

Good morning LWs!

Im compliant almost always.    Im VERY strict when it comes to my vitamins.   Very strict when it comes to protein also .....  I average 100 - 125+ grams daily.   Fluids -   ehhhh, I would probably get a B or C on my fluid report card. 

Its going to be a hot one today - stay cool & hydrated!   Cindy

I am good w vitamins. Protein and fluids are another story. I have been back to work Only 2 days and thought the fluids would be easier! Not yet.

I have been getting 60-80 protein and need to get it under control quickly!!

Hey Gina. 

1.  I'm mostly good about my vitamins.  Extra iron - not so much but am working on it. Calcium, out of routine but do get in most per day. 

2.  Protein - Usually pretty good, but yesterday I didn't have any and I need to up it to 4 protein drinks a day.  Still just getting my 2 coffees in per day.  Yesterday there were none.  Next time I go to my daughters' I'm taking a small tub of chocolate with me to leave there. 

3.   Fluids - I've done pretty darn good the past few days especially with how hot its been.  My DD and I were especially diligent with it while working outside.  Today's our last hot day, it cools off significantly for the rest of the week and weekend.

Regain 30 lbs from 2012 to 2016 - got back on track and lost it.  Took 8 months.

Thanks, gina, that was a good reminder.  I did labs this morning and hadn't taken them yet.

1.  I do great.  I get everything in every day.  Because I take stuff with my morning and evening meds, it is hard to forget.  I don't have to take iron and that makes it easier.

2.  Protein is good.  I like my shakes, protein coffee and ice cream.

3.  Fluids, 64 oz is my bottom line.  I've found in this heat, I need much more and it is easier to get it because I'm thirsty.

Accountability??? Thank goodness you are there otherwise I would get off track!!

I am usually great on my vitamins, iron and calcium. Only tough day is Saturday when we are out and about...so I started putting them in my pocket and taking them throughout the day (mainly when I happen to feel them in my pocket and do an "uh oh").

Protein....still working on this one. I start out my mornings and mid mornings w/ protein shakes/drinks and try to get in 50g by noon.  I usually have at least one meal high in protein, so I am normally 70-80g per day. I know I need to bump this up, probably with another shake at night. My problem isn't eating bad stuff....its just not eating much after noon (never hungry for dinner).

Fluids....I am close to the 64 oz a day, but many days are only 48 or so. It has been so cold here and I am hoping that when summer arrives (probably August!) that working out in the heat will help me up that to 64oz+!!

Yesterday was day #2 back to basics for me.  (I posted a video yesterday if yall wanna see) 

I did pretty good.  Stats yesterday:
Protein 84 g
Water 80 oz
Cals 1,148
30 min. walk
30 min zumba
vits done

This morning stats
Protein 39g
Water 24 oz
Cals 438
vits done
havent exercised yet!

Hi Gina,

I am almost always good about taking my vitamins & supplements.  I take my iron first thing in the morning atleast 3 hours away from my calcium. 

Protein is always over 100.  I use 3 protein shakes a day and then the other protein I get from food sources.

Fluids I do pretty good atleast 100 ozs a day.  Now those fluids are not plain water, they have crystal lite or it is unsweet tea.  I probably also need more plain water, but I have a hard time doing just plain water.

I'm good in general but I always end up the week missing one dose of calcium. Sometimes I fit it into the next week but I've read some stuff that suggests that taking over a certain amount of calcium doesn't really do much so sometimes I just shrug and forget about it.

I always get SOME of all the vitamins/supplements in every day. I USually get them all in every day,but sometimes miss. there is definately room for improvement.

i get close to 100 grms of protein a day regularly between shakes and food.

I almost always get minimum of 64 oz of fluid a day. I aim for closern to 100 oz but that i**** or miss,and could certainly stand some improvement as well.
