x-post from DS board- my sleep study last night
My studies were not split studies.
Have you had lab work done yet, esp glucose testing?
Another comorbid that works is having enough weight on to cause mobility issues. If your weight is causing you pain in your joints, that may be your key too.

I had high blood pressure, but not high enough. I had high blood sugars, but not high enough. I had arthritis in my hip, but didn't really qualify. I also needed to fail the sleep study as my one main comorbidity.
LIke you I was supposed to have a split study.....but I woke up in the morning and they had not put the cpap on me. The tech at the sleep center wouldn't say anything other than I snored so I was so disappointed, thinking that I must have passed. I had to wait two weeks for my followup....and wouldn't you know it...I FAILED! However, my apnea was considered "positional", as long as I slept on my side I was fine, ZERO issues. But as soon as I flopped on my back I had lots of oxygen issues. Sleep doc still wrote it up as a fail since he couldn't MAKE me sleep on my back and the insurance paid for my RNY with no questions.
Short answer to a long story...just because they didn't put the cpap on you doesn't mean you don't have sleep apnea.

Hang in there and let us know your results.

Good luck in all your tests!
I have severe bladder urgency and pain and just got diagnosed with IC- Interstitial Cystitis. I do not have incontinence though. I did ask the nurse if this was considered overactive bladder and she said it has an OB component. She did say weight loss would put more less pressure on the bladder, but I would still have it so I am not sure if it would count as a comorbid for a COE place. I am on medication for my bladder and getting treatments to numb the pain.
They did not even accept my high cholesterol...not high enough. Good grief. All of this wasted time. Boohoo!
Switching surgeons is fairly easy, I did it twice.

I think that their thinking is related to $$$$ not patient care most of the time.
