I do this too - I constantly have the world fade to black whenever I stand up.  I'm surprised that I haven't ACTUALLY passed out yet for all the times I've stood there, stock-still, because my vision had gone dark.  My surgeon said it was caused by dehydration, so I'm working on getting more water and fluids in.

I used to have a lot of dizzy episodes with no real reason. Blood sugar was fine, blood pressure was normal, I was more than adequately hydrated...

Sometimes I get hit with a wave after a particularly intense work out when I've had caffeine before hand. Since you mentioned a protein coffee I thought I'd throw this out there.
Even when I have my pre-workout drink in 16 ounces of water (even though they tell me i only need 8) plus 20 ounces of protein drink I can still get hit with a wave if I work out particularly hard. so be vigilant and use caution.
If it's blood sugar, high protein with some carb might help. don't over compensate low blood sugar with a high sugar boost, this will end badly. a mistake a lot of diabetics (former and current) make (i should know i was one for 12 years)
If it's electrolytes Powerade zero, as mentioned by others, and crystal light makes a couple flavors with b vitamins and electrolytes too.
If it's blood pressure, maybe tone down your workout a little

Good luck :)
