Tazz... I'm so sorry to hear this news. Take care of yourself.

I learned that rental car lesson the hard way, too!!! I am certain there was no uglier person than me that day. I was going to NC for a funeral ( bff's 5 yr old). I got the car and an upgrade just so i would leave the counter.

Hugs
Meg

Tazz, I am so sorry for your loss of your Mom and the horrible saga of events as you were rushing to see her.  I lost my Father and I did not get to say good bye at age 13.  It bothered me for many years. I am not super religious, but  I then started to have conversations in my thoughts with him or even sometimes out loud (only when alone or people might think your wacky!) and found peace in that and I really do believe that he communicated with me. And, that he is also at peace.  Your Mom knows you loved her, and I am sure was not alone (like a prior post said someone was there to help her through).  I do believe that as well.  She is no longer suffering and is very proud of you and the family you have created.  Be with your family and celebrate her life and talk about the good memories you have of her...even write those down so you never forget.  I know this is a very difficult time right now, but know in time you will feel better and find some peace.  God bless you and your family.

Sorry about your loss. My dad passed as I held his hand in 2003 and I lost my my mom in 2009. My mom has been sick that summer and I dove back home to see her 2 weeks prior. We discussed "what if's" and her wishes. I had a feeling that was the last time I would see her alive. 2 weeks later she passed out and was declared brain dead. I flew home and my fam drove out the next day.

While at church that Sunday she passed away. She wasn't the type that liked to be fussed over but I knew she was in a better place.

Nothing compares to the empty feeling you have after your parents die. Just know that you are not alone.

I am so sorry to hear this Ladytazz......I know how much you wanted your sister to be there with you when you visited your mom.  I work in hospice and sometimes things just change very quickly.   I often have patients that leave this world when they are alone and sometimes I think they just can not pass on when the love here is holding them in this world.  I pray that she was at peace and that you can handle things until you get home.  If I could send the protein fairy to you I would.  Hang in there!

We are thinking of you......

I'm so sorry for your loss and the way the jerk handled you with the car rental.  I'm glad you wrote the letter of complaint.

Not sure what kind of protein samples you have, but I often mix mine with water.  Chocolate and vanilla with milk or 1/2 and 1/2.

I had some Nectars left over and also a bunch from a place called American Whey that sounded good.  I just made a Nectar Cappacino with milk in my blender bottle and I can see why people don't like protein shakes.  I doctor mine up so much that they taste good but this one was barely tolerable without all the fixins.

I love the Cappacino.  Sometimes I mix it with my coffee, but most of the time I made it with 1/2 milk an 1/2 water - mix well and let it sit.  Gets the lumps to dissolve and the foam to go away.

I know peoples' tastes are different.  Rox loves the Lemon Tea and I don't like it...
