There is a Police Standoff the block up from my Granddaughter's Elementary school. I got as close to the school as I could but it is surrounded by police. My heart is pounding....not because I fear they are in danger but out of worrying about all those children and how scared they must be. I bet there are a lot of paniced parents at home. My DD called all of her daycare parents to let them know what's going on.

STANDOFF IS OVER...POLICE WERE SEEN ESCORTING A MAN OUT OF THE HOUSE....APPARENTLY NO ONE GOT HURT!!!!! THANKS FOR ALL OF THE PRAYERS AND CONCERNS!!!!!!

So scary... I pray that their teachers are smart people who are keeping calm and that will keep the kids calm as well. Makes you want to squeeze your family extra tight today!

We were riding down the road when I posted this.

We are here now and have been on the beach and walked almost 2 miles. Now we are waiting on the others to get here.....
