I never realized how much a stick of string cheese would bring me to heaven after being on liquids for the last 17 days, lol. I've been cleared for solid foods, baby steps of course!

Lol, S-L-O-W-L-Y, got it! I had a piece of string cheese then a hard boiled egg (just the whites) about 45 minutes later. No complications so far!!!

I think cheese is what I enjoyed the most....still do! Was so happy to be able to eat cheese again.

I still have 2 more days on fluids, then a whole week on pureed before I can even try soft foods.

I can recall I enjoyed the most delicious 2 tblsps of refried beans postop with a lil taco sauce and a sprinkle of cheese, It was so yummy!
